What is an alias?
An alias is a separate Webuzo mailbox connected to your existing KMAIL workspace. It can send and receive mail and appears in the From selector.
Allowance and approval
Your package or administrator sets an alias allowance. Requests inside that allowance can be provisioned immediately. Requests above it are held for administrator approval.
Previously used addresses
KMAIL keeps a privacy-safe history of released alias addresses. Before reusing one, KMAIL warns that it may receive more spam because another account used it previously.
Deleting an alias
KMAIL deletes and validates the Webuzo mailbox first. Only then does it remove the local POP3/SMTP identity and release the address.
Uniqueness checks
Before showing an address as available and again before reserving it, KMAIL checks every user primary address, username, login alias, connected mailbox, pending registration, pending alias, and active alias. Existing addresses cannot be requested or provisioned for another user.
